Eric Freeman

Freeman's art is beautifully and sensually painted in colors that are both inventive and surprising. The transitions from light to dark and back again are optically dazzling. They speak about landscape, fading light, rising sun and misty clouds. But also about unrecognized consciousness and unformed images.

As much as they envelop the viewer in the realms of metaphor and memory, they also sweep the viewer away with its vibrating horizons and sense of infinity. Look at the paintings closely...you feel yourself in a world of touch and feeling and humanity. Look at them from afar…you are in a world of hyperbole, vistas, and blinding light. The beauty of Eric Freeman's work is that it so succinctly and clearly succeeds in reconciling these two worlds.
