Terms of use

This website is published by Wetterling Gallery AB, Nybrogatan 20, 114 39 Stockholm, corporate identity number 556572-1890. These terms govern its use. How we handle personal data is a separate matter, set out in our Privacy Policy.

Images and text

Nearly everything on this site is protected by copyright, and much of it is not ours.

Photographs of works of art are reproduced here with permission. Copyright in the works themselves belongs to the artists or their estates, and copyright in the photographs to the photographers who took them. Where an artist is represented by a collecting society, in Sweden usually Bildupphovsrätt, the society administers those rights. Our own copyright covers the site's text, its design, and the exhibition and press material we have written.

The practical consequence is the same whoever holds the right: you may not copy, reproduce, publish or adapt anything from this site without permission, and our permission alone is often not enough to give.

You are welcome to link to us, and to quote briefly from our texts with attribution. Press and researchers wanting images should write to info@wetterlinggallery.com — say which work and what it is for, and we will tell you what is possible and, where it is not ours to grant, who else needs to agree.

The archive

This site carries the gallery's history: some 187 exhibitions and 266 news items, a number of them going back decades. That material is published as a record of what happened at the time. It is not maintained as current information, and parts of it will have been overtaken — artists move on, works change hands, prices bear no relation to today's.

Treat the archive as a record, not as a statement of what is available now.

Works shown on this site

Nothing here is an offer capable of acceptance. Availability, condition, provenance and price are confirmed by us in writing on enquiry, and a sale is concluded on the terms agreed at the time. We make every effort to describe works accurately, but a screen is not a substitute for seeing a work, and colour in particular will vary between displays.

Our editions shop at shop.wetterlinggallery.com is a separate platform and sells on its own terms, which govern any order placed there.

Links to other sites

We link to artists' sites, to Artsy, to press coverage and to institutions. Those sites are not ours and we do not control what they publish or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement.

Availability and accuracy

We try to keep the site running and its information correct, but we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of error. We may change, move or withdraw any part of it without notice. To the extent Swedish law permits us to say so, we accept no liability for loss arising from use of this site or from reliance on its content — which is not to exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

We update these terms when the site or the law changes. The version on this page is the current one, and the date below says when it last moved.

Governing law

Swedish law governs these terms and any dispute arising from them, and the Stockholm District Court is the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory rule of the law of your country of residence, nor of your right to bring a complaint to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) or through the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
