Ed Ruscha (b. 1937, Omaha, Nebraska) is one of the most influential US artists, standing alongside Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella and Andy Warhol in shaping contemporary visual culture. Spanning different media his work captures the evolving symbols of American life. His work is represented in major museum collections worldwide and has been featured in numerous retrospectives. Ed Ruscha lives and works in Los Angeles.
