Wetterling Gallery is pleased to present Springs, the first solo exhibition by Emma Hartman at the gallery.

In this new body of work, Emma Hartman expands her visual language with intensified hues and a heightened expressive presence. As the title suggests, Springs becomes a source of emotional intensity and introspective inner landscapes. Through soft gradients and luminous layers, Emma Hartman creates atmospheric compositions in which color itself emerges as both subject and sensation.

Guided by an intuitive approach to color and a deep engagement with the painterly process, Emma Hartman´s works convey a contemplative and evocative quality.

Emma Hartman was born in 1974 in Örebro and lives and works in Stockholm. She received an MFA from Umeå Konsthögskola in 2006.
