Ross Bleckner was born in New York in 1949. He received his first solo museum exhibition in 1988 at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and has since been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions, including a retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum in 1995. His work is exhibited and in the public collections of esteemed museums and galleries throughout the U.S. and Europe. Bleckner lives and works in New York City and Sagaponack, Long Island.
