For this year’s edition of Market Art Fair, Wetterling Gallery is displaying a dual presentation, featuring paintings by the British artist Alexis Soul-Gray, and works by the Danish photography-based visual artist Astrid Kruse Jensen.

Alexis Soul-Gray (b. 1980), lives and works in Devon, U.K.. She earned an MA in Painting at The Royal College of Art, London (2023) and a BA in Drawing at Camberwell College of Arts, London (2003). She is an alumni of The Royal Drawing School, London, having completed the Postgraduate Drawing Year in 2007. She has had solo and group exhibitions in the UK, US, and Sweden; while her most recent solo show is currently on display at the Arts Club in London (Pink Skipping Rope, curated by Pernilla Holmes).  She was invited for an important residency at The Artist House Kadenowka, Rabka, Poland (Studio Paulina Olowska) in the summer of 2022; was the winner of the Delphian Open in 2021; and recipient of The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant in both 2021 and 2022. Soul-Gray's first monograph, Immutable Fragments, was published by Bel Ami LA in April 2024. Her work is featured in the permanent collection of Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden, and in private collections worldwide.

Astrid Kruse Jensen (b. 1975) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the Netherlands and the Glasgow School of Art, U.K. She has been nominated for several prizes, notably the Deutsche Börse Preis in 2014, or Anne Marie Telmányi’s prize for women artists in 2017. Kruse Jensen has had solo exhibitions in Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Iceland and India, as well as several group exhibitions throughout Europe, The United States, Canada and China. Artworks are featured in important private and public collections, including Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden; the George Eastman House, Rochester, NY, USA; ARoS, Aarhus, Denmark; The National Collection of Photography, Manchester City Gallery, UK; Museum Vestsjællands, Holbæk, Denmark; Artothèque Caen, France; The John Kobal Foundation, London, UK;  the Danish Arts Foundation, Denmark.
